Verily I say unto you, the hypocrites have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, & when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; & thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetition, as the heathen do: for the heathen think that the heathen shall be heard for the heathen much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto the heathen: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask your Father. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Pater noster, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie et dimitte nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris. et ne nos inducas in tentationem, sed libera nos a malo. Quia tuum est regnum et potestas et gloria nunc et in perpetuum amen.
