Basil plant my sweet basil plant day one i just transferred it to a new 11inch pot April 17 2024 the original pot was 6 inches way too small i need rock wool cubes to grow seedling . i'm working towards becoming an agronomist with the help of youtube i've come across many interesting projects i shall experiment. i last saucer watered my basil plant on Monday April 22 2024 i will see how long till next watering as long as there is water in the saucer , i keep my flower pot saucer watered water is the primary liquid that promotes plant growth. water is essential for plants to carry out various physiological processes, as photosynthesis, nutrient transport & cell expansion. Water acts as a solvent allowing plants to absorb minerals & nutrients from the soil through their roots. Urine cannot be used as a fertiliser urine may fuel the spread of antibiotic resistance, yet urine killed two of my plants. Urine is rich in nitrogen & phosphorus too much may overwhelm plants. The best rooting hormone is human saliva. Yes, you read that correctly: Apply saliva to the cut end of the stem before planting. i watered the plant on Thursday April 25 2024  the plant died due to no minerals .Trees do not generate nitrogen themselves; rather, nitrogen-fixing trees partner with bacteria in their roots to convert atmospheric nitrogen N2 into a usable form, such as ammonia NH3. This is a symbiotic relationship where the bacteria get energy from the tree, and the tree receives fixed nitrogen that it can then use for growth. When the roots and other tree parts decompose, this nitrogen is released into the soil, enriching it for the tree and other plants. The process of nitrogen fixation in trees Symbiotic relationship: Certain trees, like Alder and legumes, form a mutualistic relationship with bacteria called diazotrophs, which live in nodules on the tree's roots. Atmospheric nitrogen conversion: Inside the root nodules, the bacteria use an enzyme called nitrogenase to break the strong triple bond of atmospheric nitrogen N2 and convert it into ammonia NH3. Nutrient exchange: The tree provides the bacteria with carbohydrates for energy and a low-oxygen environment, while the bacteria provide the tree with a steady supply of fixed nitrogen. Nutrient release into soil: Over time, when roots and other organic matter like leaves and branches decompose, the nitrogen stored in them is released back into the soil. Other sources: Other methods of nitrogen fixation, such as lightning, also contribute to the nitrogen supply in soil, but biological nitrogen fixation by microorganisms is the most significant source for plants.

Urine contains important nutrients for plant growth, including carbon, phosphorous, potassium and nitrogen, and when handled properly, it makes a darn fine plant food. Plus it's free, in a time when commercially-produced plant foods cost more every day. Mutualism between plants and animals demonstrates that grazing has positive impacts on plant growth.
